My musical likes were influenced by the kind of music my parents listened to and to the kind of music I hear at work and through friends.

I like a very wide variety of different kinds of music from country to rock.

Artists like Johnny Cash, Katie Melua, The Beach Boys, Avril Lavigne and Queen can always be found on my iPod!

I like to kid myself that I'm pretty good at taking photos. What I do like doing occasionally is taking pictures of animals, either in their natural habitat or in zoos etc and more recently snapping away and plain old anything.

Can't say I'm good at it but check out the slideshow above to see some of my attempts!.

MESSIAH

Ok, so, I live in London. I get asked all the time "Why on earth do you support Plymouth Argyle?"

Here is the answer. My dad was born in Plymouth and lots of his side of the family lived and still do live in Plymouth. I don't have many memories of my childhood, but those that I do have are all centered on Plymouth. I remember getting up early in the morning on the day we would drive to Plymouth, travelling down so early that there was nothing else on the road. The journey although long had some memorable locations for me....I remember always being on the lookout for Stongehenge and then feeling disappointed as we whizzed by at high-speed! I also remember some large limestone cliff that we drove through near Exeter but I think I only imagined them being huge.

Time in Plymouth was mainly spent going to see various family members, Aunts, Uncles etc....we spent lots of time on Plymouth Hoe looking at the lighthouse and Drakes Island, playing crazy golf and building sandcastles on the beach at Whitsands. Ivor Dewdney's Pasty Shop was also worth a regular visit, where my cousin Carole could eat a whole field-gunner pasty! I also have vague memories of going to a cafe with my Nan and Grandad but for some reason I seemed to think that this cafe used to be an air-raid shelter or some kind of military establishment?? We moved around Plymouth a fair bit, going from Devonport to Ernesettle to Keyham to Crownhill etc. etc.

I also saw my first football match (that I can remember) at Home Park, with my Dad and my Uncle Tom. While we were waiting to go through the turnstiles I remember a man speaking to my Dad and my Uncle. I don't know who he was but he came over to me after chatting to them and gave me a complete set of cards with past and present (of the day...roughly 1977/8) players....after that I remember watching the match from the Devonport Stand and having a pasty at half-time and then heading off. A couple of days later my nan took me to a sports shop to buy my first football shirt (I'm not counting the horrible Chelsea one that my mum made me wear when I was really little) and it was a green Argyle shirt.

Since then, its the Pilgrims all the way.....up or down!

So, thats why I support PAFC instead of those tiny little teams like QPR, Chelsea or Arsenal!

I'm currently studying a course with the Open University, S282 Astronomy. Next year I have a Geology unit.

This course involves observing the night sky and I have recently found that I am interested in Astrophotography, taking pictures of stars, moons and planets etc.

Below are a few attempts so far using my Fuji S7000 with a 15sec shutter speed in Black & White mode.

March 2007~ Finally got my new scope- A Meade ETX-80AT GOTO Computerised Teslescope....just in time for the 2007 Lunar Eclipse. See below for a few "test" pictures taken by putting my Casio Exilim 7.2m pixel Digital Camera straight into the eyepiece socket and a couple taken with the abovementioned Fuji taken by putting the camera lens against the telescope eyepiece!
