I like
travelling around various places....here's more about some places I
like the most!
Plymouth
In Plymouth, whatever the season, youŽll never be lost for something
great to do. As the regional capital of Devon and Cornwall, Plymouth
is an extra-ordinary blend of vibrant modern city and historic
seafaring port.
Visit world famous heritage sites like Plymouth Hoe and Mayflower
steps. In the Barbican, you can enjoy centuries of maritime
tradition. Or you can take to the sea yourself with a choice of
boat-trips, fishing, wind-surfing, scuba diving and water skiing.
Roanoke/USA
Roanoke, Virginia is located midway between New York City, NY and
Atlanta, GA on Interstate 81, 168 miles west of the state capital,
Richmond, Va. The city is the center of one of Virginia's largest
metropolitan regions, and a hub of transportation, finance, and
industry for the southwestern part of the state. The scenic beauty
of the Roanoke Valley, located between the Blue Ridge and the
Virginia Allegheny Highlands, makes the city a pleasant as well as
an economically diverse place to live and work. The city's position
on the East Coast gives it ready access to close to two-thirds of
the total population of the nation within a radius of 500 miles.
My favourite place on the planet is Roanoke, Virginia. The Roanoke
Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains are two of the most beautiful
parts of our planet and if you've never been, you don't know what
your missing!
As well as Roanoke I enjoy visiting places of Historical importance
such as Washington DC. Photos can be seen below.
Carnival
The Notting Hill Carnival actually began in St Pancras and moved
around until it found its home. From town halls it has now grown to
a huge event, which last year led the Jubilee procession down the
Mall.
Carnival's roots date back to the Abolition of Slavery Act in 1833
when the first Caribbean carnival was held in Trinidad. Black
Caribbeans took to the streets for their own carnival party, with
song, dance and costumes.
Over the next century, carnival developed into a strong Caribbean
tradition, particularly in Trinidad, where the five disciplines of
carnival were established.
Great
Yarmouth & Norfolk
Went to Great Yarmouth in May '06 with my brother and sister-in-law.
Stayed in a chalet on the California Sands site and visited Great
Yarmouth, Thrigby Wildlife Centre, The Dinosaur Park (Rubbish!) and
Little Walsingham, as well as some smaller places as well. Hope to
go back again someday.
